The Ghana Health Declaration is an initiative of this government that encourages community-based participatory decision making at each level. It plans to make a strong international wellness system which guarantees the health of its people. Ghana has one of the maximum immunization rates in the world and most of the children are enrolled in college. The general health situation is very great with numerous communicable diseases controlled.
The Ghana Health Declaration is a reference tool which links national health programmes and actions, drawing together the sources of the entire country for the frequent good of the people living in Ghana. It is a strategic document that lays out the vision and mission statement of the Ghanaian government in relation to healthy living and outlines plans for achieving these objectives. This declaration was launched from the Minister of Health on 5 November 2021 together with the formation of a consultative group which is composed of senior doctors, medical professionals and members of the general public. The intention of the consultative group would be to allow the Ghanaian people to have a leadership role in enhancing the health system.
The Ghana Health Declaration has supported better sharing of data and introduced lots of forums that bring together individuals from different communities to assess and reflect on health issues. These forums are being conducted regularly to exchange information and build capacity of the various organizations working towards enhancing health services. There is an integrated network of family physicians who co-ordinate all the medical assistance coming to an person's door step. Every taxpayer is entitled to free medical checkups and therapy enrolled in addition to registering with a community health company. In this way, everybody is aware of what they have to do to lead a wholesome life.
The Ghana Health Declaration recognizes the right of every person to pursue their fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression and speech, the right to seek medical assistance and treatment, right to assemble and peacefully protest any abuse or violation of individual rights. The declaration also respects the right of each citizen to be informed about health issues and to take part in the conduct of health research and other activities associated with healthcare. In addition, the declaration encourages the media to give more public attention to issues regarding health care, highlighting the importance of ensuring that every individual has adequate access to quality healthcare care services.

It has taken vital steps to improve the health system, especially the overall level of wellbeing. But, there is still a lot of work to be performed to enhance the standard of health care delivery in the ground level. There are many organizations involved with providing health services in the community level, notably the Family Health Programmes which provides counselling along with other medical assistance to the poor. The programme also works towards strengthening the community's response capability to crises, and co-ordinated applications aimed at children's immunization, sanitation and water, and occupational health and security. There are also a variety of voluntary organizations that concentrate on issues like AIDS, malaria and other diseases that affect the health of the poor and vulnerable.
The goals and objectives of the Ghana Health Declaration continue to be determined, but there are provisions for an open enrollment procedure which will enable anybody who matches the universal criteria to be covered. The statement acknowledges the advancement of the health system will require a commitment from everybody and calls for increased cooperation among communities, government agencies, civil society and other associations. This will be the initial step towards ensuring that all Ghanaians have the right health conditions and are offered equal chance for treatment and care. The targets and goals also call for greater involvement of all stakeholders, and more collaboration among organizations to guarantee that the entire health system will be incorporated.
